Meeting Joseph in recovery was the best thing that ever happened to me. Watching him smile when he entered the room was a beautiful sight. The way he enjoys sobriety, even on challenging days, is incredibly inspiring. Initially, we were friends and spent time together, like watching a football game at our friend Tommy’s house. They're all exciting times, from video calls with some of our best friends to driving your Mazda for the first time. The love in your eyes on our first date was evident, and I knew he was the one. Dancing around the dance floor at a wedding and hearing him sing for Jesus further solidified my feelings for him. We’ve shared many memorable moments, from late-night movie nights and early Starbucks runs to first kisses and snow days. These experiences have helped us build a strong connection. Late-night comedy shows and watching The Lion King in live action with blankets and popcorn are moments I’ll cherish forever. When you find the right person, you experience the joy, calmness, and safety that come with love. He brings out the best in me and helps me grow in communication and healing from past trauma. God has placed a spontaneous and ambitious man in my life to show me what the true essence of His love means. I want to express my gratitude for the little things he does for me, like spoiling me with flowers, holding the door open for me, and opening the car door.
